We also support your growth—whether you're interested in obtaining your CDA or receiving your certification through PATCH Hawaii, we can assist you on that path. This position provides invaluable experience in early childhood education while expanding your expertise in child development.

Positions Available:
Infant Caregivers: Provide nurturing care for infants in our loving classroom environment.
Toddler or Twos Teachers: Inspire curiosity and guide the development of our active toddlers.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Creating a safe and stimulating learning environment.
- Supervising and engaging with children during play and activities.
- Assisting with hygiene, including diapering, toileting, and handwashing.
- Helping with mealtimes while modeling good manners and healthy eating habits
- Implementing fun, age-appropriate educational activities.
- Keeping records of children’s progress and communicating with parents.
- Collaborating with fellow team members to ensure the best care possible.
A Day in the Life:
- Warmly greet children and families as they arrive.
- Lead engaging activities that support growth and development.
- Read stories, sing songs, and enjoy one-on-one time with the little ones.
- Take the children outside for fresh air and exploration.
- Share exciting discoveries with parents at pick-up time.
- Leave each day knowing you made a positive impact on a child’s life.
Who We’re Looking For:
- You have a genuine love for children and care deeply about their well-being.
- You’re a team player who collaborates well with others.
- You’re flexible and ready to adapt to the needs of the children and program.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1-2 years of experience in a licensed childcare setting, working with children 2 and under
- 12 college credits in Early Childhood Education or 30 hours of Infant/Toddler Development (A Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Child Development or a related degree is even better!)
If you don’t meet these qualifications just yet, don’t worry—Kama‘aina Kids offers Infant/Toddler Development Training and assistance in earning your CDA, free of charge!
